Cupcakes & Champagne for a Cure

*An evening of dinner, live music, dancing, and of course, a cupcake and champagne/wine tasting. This event is benefiting Team Think Positive for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk. So grab a date or gather some friends, and join us in the fight to find a cure!

I am beyond blessed to be in my 4th year as a Hodgkin's Lymphoma Survivor!  I never imagined being diagnosed with cancer at the age of 27.  My life was suddenly changed while I endured an aggressive treatment of chemotherapy and radiation.  There were days that I just wanted to forget about the diagnosis, but that was impossible.  Every time I looked in the mirror, I was reminded that I was sick.  I longed to feel healthy again.  I had to learn to cope with the grief that cancer brings and to find courage and strength that I never knew existed.  I had to choose to 'Think Positive' in order to get through each day.  I formed Team Think Positive as a way to become involved and actively support the fight against cancer.  The funds raised by the team support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  Their mission is to find a cure today, not someday! I am hopeful that together we can overcome and end cancer.
